Grandfather Takes 4th Degree More Than 60 Years After First Joining The Order

Brother Del Balso, who is 90 years young, takes his 4th Degree Exemplification in Naples FL over the August 26, 2009 weekend. Del who’s Grandson, Jason Touw, persuaded him to get active in the order again. He first joined the Knights of Columbus in 1946. He was not able to participate in the order for many years, but after his Grandson became active, he decided it was time to come back. Jason said that after taking his 4th Degree last year, he really wanted his Grandfather to experience the degree and to share in the experience. Both Grandfather and Grandson were thrilled to share the experience. Del is a member of St. Williams Council No. 10757 and will be part of Assembly 3020. We congratulate Del on becoming a Sir Knight.
