Posted by | Greetings Brother Knights: I write you today for a very important purpose. Supreme Knight Carl Anderson will be in Naples at the Ritz-Carlton Gold Resort on Thursday, November 12 as guest of honor for the Grand Opening Gala for Ave Maria School of Law (please see invite and response attached). The Knights of Columbus and Ave Maria School of Law stand united in the cause of defending traditional values, exhibiting faithfulness to the teachings of the Catholic Church, and confronting evils in society such as abortion. It is very appropriate that the Supreme Knight take this place of honor at this historic event for Ave Maria School of Law. As a Third Degree Knight and Financial Secretary of Naples Council #14848, I am particularly excited to welcome the Supreme Knight. Honoring Carl Anderson and his life of leadership is just one highlight of this great event. The dinner is a benefit for the Ave Maria School of Law Scholarship fund, which enables our law school to be among the nation's most generous when it comes to financial awards to deserving students. These scholarships have enabled hundreds of men and women to attend law school and become lawyers who otherwise might not have had the chance. These recipients of scholarships - along with the other graduates from our law school - are today out in the legal profession fighting for restoration of ethics, high standards of conduct, and renewal of the Catholic Intellectual Tradition in which they were so deeply immersed while law students. It is truly a great cause to be part of and this Grand Opening Gala on November 12 is a great way to become involved. Please consider attending this historic event.
