    Florida Knight Appointed Bishop of Pueblo, CO

    Brother Knight Father Fernando Isern, Pastor of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Miami has been appointed Bishop of Pueblo, Colorado. Father Isern was born in Havana, Cuba on September 22, 1958. He came to the United States with his family and was ordained priest of the Archdiocese of Miami on April 16, 1993. He was appointed Administrator of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in 2003 and later confirmed as Pastor. On October 15, 2009, His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI appointed him Bishop of Pueblo, CO. His Ordination as Bishop will take place on December 10, 2009.



    Our Lady of Lourdes Council 10201 Re-organized on October 15, 2009

    District Deputy Daniel Pierson (#66) announced on October 15, 2009 that Our Lady of Lourdes Council #10201, which had been suspended since 1993, has been reorganized when the Degree Team of Monsignor Brian O Walsh Council 13369 exemplified the first degree of the Order to 18 new Knights on the same date. With these new Knights and Knights who will transfer in, the Council has the required number of members to be the first re-organized Council of 2009-20 in the Florida Jurisdiction.

    The exemplification took on a special meaning: the Pastor, Fr. Fernando Isern was going to be the Honoree of the Degree, but when His Holiness Benedict XVI announced that Father Isern was being appointed Bishop of Pueblo, CO, the exemplification took on a very festive mood for the parish of South West Miami
