    St. Matthew's Pancake Breakfast

bullet.gif Posted by flabuckeye on October 12 2009
Saint Matthew Council 11226 located at 9111 90th Avenue North in Largo held a pancake breakfast for the community at the church. The church also held a bargain / flea market event to try to gain funds to pay for a new roof for the parish building. The council had plenty of help with many of the members and their wives attending.

Grand Knight John Rummenie was very proud and thankful of all who came to help out. The event started at about 8 a.m. and lasted to about 1:30 p.m. The hard working crew presented a fantastic breakfast consisting of your choice of pancakes (blueberry, chocolate or plain) with syrup and / or whipped cream, scrambled eggs, bacon and / or sausage, coffee, milk and juice. The Breakfast price.... only $4 dollars for adults. Children's prices were less. The crew was very energetic and proud to be there to serve.

There are plans to have further pancake breakfasts as soon as November. If you live near Largo, keep your ears to the ground and plan to come hungry and leave full and happy. The guys at Council 11226 will welcome you in and will be glad you came to sit for a while. Introduce yourself as a fellow knight and you'll be treated as if you were a king!

The flea market offers everything you can think of. There were many people all over the church grounds in designated areas who were willing to make all sorts of deals. Come on out the next time they have an event... who knows, maybe you can find something for yourself or the council.
